For the last week or two, i've had a bit of an eczema flare up on my arms and legs (it's well moisturized but a rash and very itchy). It's contained to certain areas but those areas are rather large.
For the last few days, on top of that, I've been having an allergic reaction (no idea to what as i've used the same soap, washing powder, etc.) composed of numerous small welts all over my arm. I was itching all day but I had to work so I waited until later in the day to medicate and the welts actually appeared after I took the benedryl (about 4-5 hours later).
In the last few days, i've also gotten what i've concluded to be a chemical burn that literally appeared overnight, stayed 2-3 days and disappeared just as spontaneously. I've had it two or three times before, but it was after using a specific shampoo scent that I no longer use (I could use anything else in the line except that scent).
I was supposed to get an allergy test about a year or two ago but my skin was too bad at the time to get it done (would have reacted to everything).
My allergist (i've seen once) and my dermatologist (i've seen a couple of times; he is good but rude and i'm considering getting a new one) have OPPOSITE idea's on what I should do to treat and literally told me not to do what the other person recommended. I'm fine for anything but I need to stick to one regime at a time in order to see what works and doesn't.
If you were me - would you go back to the allergist now (it's been a while; maybe get the test now if I can which could point out both allergy and eczema triggers), visit the dermatologist (get on a steroid to fix the rash) or see the primary care physician (for a 'now' fix and a recommedation)?
