Hi and welcome to PC, I am from the UK too!

I have bipolar, was diagnosed with hypomania and mixed states (which means manic and depressed at the same time!). Good advice with the alcohol from your doc, makes perfect sense as with most bipolar medications you can't drink on them and if you do it isn't very nice!
