I agree with you. Unfortunately one of the reasons that AA is not as effective as it could be is because of the abstinence thing. Many studies have been done and have shown that AA would work so much better if they would talk about controlling alcohol intake rather then abstaining from it.
Now I am not saying that this is for everyone. I have known people in my family that could not control their alcoholism; they had to stop all together. I guess I am just rambling..it was a thought.
