It's a good book. She also focuses on therapy, which I currently can't afford, although I do have access to a psychiatrist. DBT and CBT workbooks help me substitute for therapy.

I think that therapy and medication are both very important. For those who don't have access to either or both, I felt that Fast's suggestions for leading a healthy life -- e.g. balanced diet, taking care of sleep, monitoring thought patterns and triggers, practicing mindfulness, etc. were helpful.
