It's really hard to get sick from beef...chicken yes but beef no that's why they are always recalling it if they even detect E. coli then they send it back to the factory to be destroyed where chicken can't be made clean so you always have to cook it through but you can still get sick from heat stabile toxins if enough bacteria have grown. This is why so many people can get away with eating undercooked hamburger even though you're supposed to cook it through...like with steaks you only need to sear off the outside and the rest can be totally raw...but you would never think of that for chicken because it's so bad.

When I got food poisoning several years ago it was from under-refrigerated tofu and broccoli chinese food. Oh man, that was hell and had to be hospitalized.
