i forgot one detail about the court testimony ordeal.
when the owner got there, the reception room was full. he had a big, thick file of papers in his hand.....he thought that his wife's family had come to testify for him and he was shaking hands and thanking them. they were just sorta polite.......we all sat there for about 45 minutes....
when we went in, all of Butch's people sat on one side and there sat Wayne........one person......he had NO witnesses to say that he was a good dog owner. no one. nada. he was in shock. you should have seen his face when he realized that he was at that table alone. i wanted to do a cartwheel.
he didn't even know that the lawyer was going to cross examine him. and i won't go into the pictures/evidence......but every time the lawyer flashed one in front of his face he would say "and you testified that you loved this dog like one of your children, didn't you?"........
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, some days you just have to love those lawyers.

and the best part is that he kept my neighbor from getting even ONE of them back.........
i'm slowly destressing. slowly. this consumed my life for 8 months. i saw stuff that i've never seen before........"shudder"......
knowing i could here was my lifesaver............xoxoxo
