Absolutely true - not every p-doc is a compassionate, knowledgeable saint. Most of the time they want to prescribe the trending medication and if that doesn't work the attitude is "tough luck". I have begged my p-doc to help me find a better med cocktail & all he does is switch around the meds I'm already on that aren't really working as well as some other meds might work. Eventually, I have no choice but to rearrange my meds myself to make it through life, work, etc. I'm right there with you, sewerrats.
