Do NOT take yourself off the medicine. You have every right to go off it, but you do not want to do this by yourself. Besides, how long does it take to work for you? You don't know, you're doctor doesn't know. These medications take longer to build up a therapeutic dose if you are more needful of it... 3 days is not long enough to know, unless you were having night tremors or such..which you aren't.

You owe it to the prescribing doctor, who believes you are following the prescription, to call and discuss this with him/her.
