I've battled anxiety - agoraphobia and GAD - for almost 20 years off and on. I do have quite a few phobias including fear of elevators, fear of driving on the highway (I've been kind of trapped in town for over 10 years), and a phobia to almost all medications.
Because of the med phobia, I wonder constantly what it would be like to be "normal" but I've also been able to manage my symptoms with coping skills. Recently, I had an anxiety and depression relapse.I'm going to DBT group and learning mindfulness, which has been a total help, but what other non-medicated things could I do?
When I speak of med phobia, I mean I can only take Advil without getting panicked. Even antibiotics freak me out. So do vitamins and supplements, which is a shame because I'm interested in trying omega 3.
