Sometimes I refer to her as that therapist. I don't really know what else I would call her. I am not particularly possessive of her. She is not part of my real life. I used to use the word "dude" at appointments but after about a year she got snotty one day and said she was not a dude- so I took that to mean she identified dude with male and as she was a woman - i started using it.
