There are a LOT of different seizure types, symptoms, and causes. If a person has more than 1 seizure (that isn't induced by medication somehow), then doctors will typically then diagnose that person with a seizure disorder (aka- epilepsy).

It sounds reasonable that your panic attacks may possibly be seizures. You do need tests to determine whether or not your brain activity is unsual, and if you have any physical changes that may be the cause. I always encourage people to rule out possible physical causes of panic disorder.

I was mistakenly treated for panic disorder back in the early 90's for three years. The fact was that I had untreated and unrecognized seizure disorder, in which complex partial seizures felt like panic attacks to me & I had absolutely no memory of other events that occurred. When a complex partial seizure secondarily-generalized, and became a "grand mal", that is when diagnosis & treatment finally began for me.

(((hugs))) and best wishes to you!
Thanks! I'll have to check that out!
Hmm...but don't you black out during a seizure? My panic attacks aren't that severe (might not even be considered real panic attacks) to where I lose consciousness.

Thanks! *Hugs back*
