I've been playing about 4 years now and I'm looking for a new guitar to replace my old Ibanez. The one I have now is okay...not great. It sounds nice but it can't hold tune for more than two songs and I just don't feel that it's the right one for me.
I'm saving up to buy one for my birthday in June - I've been looking at another Ibanez, one of the Artcore's in fact. I haven't been to Guitar Center to try one out - basically, I'm just going to save, save, save my money until I have a lot - however, I think it might sound like what I want.
To put it in simple terms, I like full sounds. I'm more of a rhythm person, not a lead. I think that a more hollow body will produce the sound I'm looking for. However, I want more of an electric than acoustic sound, so I'm taking that into account when I try out the Artcore.
I'll be at the store for a couple hours, haha. I've also got a new guitar strap and some nice strings on my list of guitar needs.

My question to you all is, if you were to recommend me a guitar, which would it be? What's the best one you've ever played? Also, favorite strings?
All input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
