Hi. I am 33 years old and I have just been diagnosed with Bipolar 2 disorder. I was hospitalized 15 years ago for attempted suicide, but blamed it on a break up and said I was "being dramatic" in order to get out of the hospital. Since then, I have had a series of failed jobs, a failed marriage, and several problems that have led me back to therapy. I accept this diagnosis. I have JUST started taking Saphris yesterday (anti-psychotic/ mood stabilizer) in addition to lexapro, which I have taken for 9 years. I am also trying to get off of klonapin, which I have taken for 15 years. I start a NEW JOB MONDAY as a Medical , so I am super worried I will get overwhelmed and do something "typical" (cry, zone out, be late all the time) to screw it up.
Hugs from:
