Since being diagnosed with ADD things make more sense to me too. Like alternating between being a space cadet and being so totally focused on something that I'm oblivious to everything else. It also explains why my mind races. (My psychiatrist, who is also ADD, says that it's like having a turbo race car engine instead of the standard model everyone else has. Vroom Vroom.) The more I learn about it, the more I find out that ADD has made some people very successful - we're bad at follow-through, but great with coming up with creative ideas. So if we pair up with someone - it can be great. Who wants to be non-ADD? That seems boring. I think ADD is ok as long as you harness that energy and know how to work with it constructively. Meds help too.
