I too am just learning about ACoA... I purchased the book 2 years ago, and immediately shoved it in a closet... I was in denial, and feeling guilty about thinking what an unsupportive daughter I am to not just be thankful for at the very least keeping me alive...but it's all part of the beast, ya know... you keep their secrets, you maintain this image... The book is now in a box in my storage unit and I am counting down the days to be moved into our home so I can finally face my fears... I am ready for the battle- I am ready for relief...
