I assure you, you are not the only one.
It's difficult for the ones who didn't go through this, to understand how hard it is to try, to work.
By the things you said, I would say that those people were wrong, you really try. They just don't understand it.
Although, it is very frustrating. I just try to shut down my hears, and think to myself, don't bother, they would never be capable of understanding that, but I know what I am doing, and I know that I'm doing my best. Sometimes is hard to do that, most of the time, specially when it is told by people close to you, it would be like a sword stabbed into your heart, but is simply not true.
But there is one true thing, one can't understand a thing, unless he/she had a large view about what it is really like, and even so, everyone experience things in is own way.
Some people in my family that already had depression, blame me many times, about not trying...and suposely they had experience that, so, imagine what it would be like to someone whithout any insightfull knowledge.
