Maybe she just didn't know how to tell you. I've been getting lots of practice the last few years, but when the first couple of my grandparents died several years ago, I was in shock each time, and I don't think I told anyone for a while. I didn't know what to say or how to act or even what I was supposed to be feeling. I remember wanting to tell someone, and wishing that someone would ask me what was wrong so that I could tell them.
