I am not sure what their point is in keeping your focus solely in the trauma's and not the other things you experienced that added to the damage. Perhaps their goal is to get you to realize that whatever happened that traumatized you was not your fault or anything you can go back and change.
I know for myself, the trauma was bad enough, what made it worse was how for the past seven years I have been in a lawsuit that has been badly mishandled and the opposing side's entire goal is to dismiss. What drives me crazy is I saw it and it replays constantly and yet I have been denied and did not get the help I needed in spite of the red flags I expressed.
I know the need to talk about not just the trauma but all the different things that happened before and after the trauma too.
