I was let go from my last job because they thought foreigners would do a better job at managing American business data. Too bad language barriers really are barriers, but at the end of the day I, along with my coworkers, was just a number and was disposable.
I can't stand how the modern workplace sees people as disposable trash instead of assets to build them up. Then HR and managers complain about people who leave their jobs after a year without "getting their money's worth" from them. Hello, if you don't treat your employees as an asset, treat them like intelligent capable people and give them challenges, yes they are going to leave. So STFU about it, or change.
