Your volunteer work can be counted as a job plus no evictions is probably all they need. The volunteer work counts because it shows stability. You can also use your landlord as a ref.

There are never any guarantees . If this is the job you want go for it! Every job is a step to the next job. Plus temp is not so bad. I've been doing contract for years. The hardest is working out insurance. Trust me there is no job security in rft work. My best advice for anybody is to look for >career< security not job security. Job security is a dead end. Sounds like you are headed in the right direction!
