CPS became involved for me when I got out of the psych ward. Don't expect a letter anytime soon, they took forever to get me processed. Really, they just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to physically harm my child and that I had a support network in place and was continuing to receive therapy. It all turned out fine and they said all accusations were unfounded and good job on seeking treatment. It was a very scary experience though. This added a lot of emotional stress for me during the process so make sure you take good care of yourself during this time. It's easy to be overwhelmed and feel pushed over the edge by it all.
