There are a lot of things I like about being a contractor but then there are stupid things the client does to make sure you know you are a contractor. Contractors are not allowed to have the "bigger" cubes which I didn't even notice are bigger until somebody pointed them out. Therefore I don't sit with my team which is simply less conducive for the work. I sit with people I don't work with who are great people. So great in fact I get distracted thus it is really a stupid inefficiency. Just move my smaller cube over... I don't give a rats ***! Some employees actually do view it as a bene... Being treated on a higher level then contractors. Those are the red stapler guys.

Or they send out invites to all hands meetings and you have to figure out if you are supposed to go or not. I've seen it go both ways. Usually I just ignore any sort of bene like parties or tickets, even things like blood draws but last year I was told I actually WAS invited to the company baseball game on the day of the game. Go figure.
