I was on neurontin for about a year for the parasthesia I have in my feet due to my MS. I have to say it never made any difference to my sleeping pattern neither did I notice any effect on anxiety.
Having said that though, I know that some anti epileptic medications are given to help with symptoms of depression and probably related anxiety so, it is possible that they had this effect on you.
