I agree it would be discrimination.....but I know 1st hand that there are ways - legal ways that companies will have you fill out paperwork after they unoffically offer you the job and ask you to disclose your medical information for HR. Plus they need to be certain that you can physically handle the job. Not saying in this current situation it would matter...but consider a mechanic on a type of med that would make it dangerous for them to be working with a vehical hanging over their head. The reality is that most companies are more interested in protecting themselves than protecting you - I hate it but it is true in so many cases.
