Have you discussed with your pdoc about having a baby? He could best assess your current status. Waiting until you are more stable sounds like a good idea to me. I was not depressed when I had my daughter, she was 8 when the depression struck. I'm glad it wasn't when she was younger because I don't know if I could have taken proper care of her. I spent most of my time crying or asleep. I think your partner is probably right about holding off for a while. I know it is disappointing but I think you will enjoy your time with the baby when you are feeling better.
