Could be Zoloft withdrawals since they replaced it with two totally different classes.

Most likely Wellburtin I think. It can be very fast acting and very activating. It was a long time ago that I took it but it may have acted right away and probably did. I could only handle two weeks. I thought I was doing meth amphetamine and I have done that before so I know what it feels like.

No you don't want them to jump on a diagnosis of bi polar right away. Once its in the chart it is there forever even if they change it later. I was mis diagnosed bi polar for seven years for a lot of complicated reasons.

I only asked because they gave him depakote for depression and not lamictal. A mood stabilizer is not usually prescribed for depression alone but Lamictal is now being used for MDD.

A bi polar diagnosis can be very complicated and it has a lot to due with his history. Has he ever had a full blown manic episode? Does he have a history of drug and alcohol abuse? some drugs mimic bi polar. Anti depressants can trigger hypo mania even if not bi polar. I am experiencing that myself right now with Fetzima. Slightly manic but it is balancing out.

Is he any better today? Did the itching go away?

And bleach. That is a pretty nasty chemical. I hope it didn't do any damage.

Please keep us posted. We are sincerely concerned for him and you. And get the help you need for you. For me I think it is harder for those around me than it is for me. I am used to it. They say it isn't but family needs a lot of support too.

There are also a couple of other sections on this site. I haven't been to them and I don't know how active they are.
