I did Match.com several years back and for the most part met very nice interesting people. One was the love of my life, but suffered from depression and one day checked out, but that is a different story. Prior to Match I allowed a friend to set me up with a friend of his. It was the worst experience ever.
Sometimes I'm overly cautious so before going out I would call my outlaws and let them know as much information as I had, the name of the person, where he was from, phone number if I had it, where we were going. My last instructions to my outlaws was that if I didn't call the the following day they were to call the police with the info. My outlaw Dad always chuckled, but took down the info. I felt better knowing that my family had some basic information if needed. Luckily they never had to call the police.
