Sorry to hear what you're going through. You are NOT worthless! I agree with what the other posters have said. My best friend has been unemployed for over a year although she has a degree, so don't feel to bad. A lot of people are going through similar situations. As for your job search, have a few people look at it and see if there are any spelling errors or mistakes in them.

A lot of places won't hire you for even the simplest jobs if you don't have relevant experience. If Kmart won't hire you for example, it could be because you are overqualified for the job. As for the jobs that you are looking for, you need experience for a lot of jobs. So maybe it'd help if you lower your salary requirements if that is possible and be more open to taking something in the meantime until you can find the job that you actually want?

You sound way to smart to be working at some low paying job like Kmart btw! Go to a temp agency, that might help you out a bit. Although having to live at home again is horrible, it's much worse on the street and more dangerous I'd imagine. Especially for a woman! Get on food stamps and disability or unemployment if you can. Get a student loan if you don't already have one. Live with a friend or relative temporarily if you can. Live out of a cheap hotel if you have to. Please don't sleep on the streets! If things don't work out, then at least find a shelter you can sleep in!

I'm sorry that I can't help you more. I wish you the best of luck with your situation!
