Hi seekersinking, if you've been in home health quite a time (which you have haven't you?) you probably have an "heightened" (?), more acute (?) sense of how big a responsibility it is to "care for" someone, and how big a thing is to be trusted to do that.
And maybe as well, how hard it can be for some people close to the people you "care for" to give their complete trust to someone?
So maybe, it could have thrown you with them coming out with that, particularly if your self-esteem isn't that good?
But the flip side of that is they did trust you, like you said of course they can trust you, but that is a big thing and you should be really pleased with yourself that you've inspired that confidence from them. Really pleased!! OH, and proud of yourself too!!
Clearly something in your mannerisms, the way you communicated, the way you knew what you were talking about.............made them feel comfortable with you. AND made them trust you!! Full marks to you, hey!! Take a bow!!
