I think people use the room more to be safe and not get into trouble. The chat is usually what you'd find in the coffeehouse, although people rather use the adult chat room for that now since they might mention things not allowed in the coffeehouse.

On one hand I'm glad they took topics I might not want to hear about there, on the other hand, these days people use the adult chat for EVERY topic which I don't like since it excludes everyone under 18. It seems like the room everyone is in these days.
