From what I've been reading ("Driven to Distraction" Hallowell and Ratey), forgetfulness is a big part of ADD. For example, I know I need to go to the kitchen and get something. I'll walk in and completely, utterly forget what I went in for. I'll lose my car key under a magazine. I misplaced my military ID card for 6 months (found it right where I'd left it, in a brief case). I think I paid a bill only to get a delinquent notice. Drives my husband nuts.

Like you, I'm not an abuser of drugs or alcohol. I only take Prozac and Wellbutrin and have an occasional drink (once every 3-6 months).

Nope, you're so not stupid!!! I feel your frustration though, big time.

One thing we're going to do as a couple is, I'm going to gather all the bill information (payee, balance, amount paid each month) and compile a spreadsheet for my husband. 90% of our bills are autopaid so that's easy. HOwever, there are a few that I pay manually. I'm turning it all over to him after 15 years. It's one less thing I have to worry about.

And my car keys? Luckily I can park in the garage most of the time. I leave my keys on the dash. Otherwise I'm completely lost. Eep!
