I would decide on a sleep schedule and start working on it. It sounds like you may not be getting enough sleep during the week and then trying to make it up on weekends. Do you know how many hours sleep you need? Some people need 7 (my husband) and some need more (I tested myself on a week I was off and I needed close to 9).

A big deal is not dismissing alarm clocks if you want to get up. If you went to bed Midnight or before, then 9 a.m. is not unreasonable to get up. But do make sure you get at least 7-9 hours sleep. It makes sense though, if you don't get up until 11, say, that you are not going to "be able" to go to sleep until you have been up around 16 hours (16 + 8 hours sleep = 24 hours) and up at 11 + 16 makes it 3 a.m. before you are going to be sleepy again? That's not good. Get up, no matter how tired or you won't be able to sleep earlier that night. It will take a week or more to get your timing moving in the right direction. If you get up early, you are probably going to be sleepier early so your head is not going to be able to bother you as much as usual?

Do go to the doctor and have your thyroid and other blood/urine tests done to make sure you are not anemic or have hypothyroid (I have that), etc. Check your eating and make sure you are getting enough protein, fiber, fruits and vegetables, etc. as all of that works together too. Not having the right or enough fuel can make you sluggish/run out of gas
