hi,

my eyes have been really swollen recently, and i went to the doctors today and was told it's an infection… i was suggested a course of topical antibiotics..

I have a really big problem with antibiotics, since reading about side-effects e.t.c…
But my dad assured me they're safer when used topically….

---

But,, i said no to the doctor and was given an anti-histamine eye drop,, instead.
Got home and found that quite it clearly states on the leaflet; "Not for treatment of eye infections"…
I read it's main ingredients most common side effect is; eye irritation
It also contains 'sodium hydroxide' - which is caustic soda: NOT something you should put in your eye….
awesome ()
what a terrible idea for a product.

>> So.. I haven't used that either, after reading the ingredients… and about the main ingredient.
So, my eye infection - which is pretty bad…: it hurts and my eyelids are so puffy its hard to see.. is definitely not getting better.
But i have a real issue with antibiotics…

don't know what to do… again..

(i've got Ocd ,,, with major health concerns - which is why i think the antibiotics worry me excessively.)
But then i have BDD, and i'm really hating how i look right now.. and worried it's gonna become permanent.

But it seems, eye-infections shouldn't just be left..

??hmmm
only really one thing to do,,, but i have such an aversion to antibiotics..
