I forced myself out of bed and completed my morning walk in the park.

I actually spoke to two people who were walking their dogs.

Dogs seem to give me a way of relating, first pet thje dog and then tell the owner that s/he has a pretty dog and at least we exchange smiles have a nice day - etc. and the dog gets some petting.
