Hang in there...handling stress is a very personal issue. Some take deep breaths and think before they speak others have to leave the room to settle their thoughts usually deflecting back an idea is helpful when trying to maintain composure, restating paraphraz=sing thoughts so that you are clear about what is being said..also buys you some time to really think about what you really want to say.
I ahve a freind of mine has long pauses before finishing conversations ...very thoughtful about her comments...this drives me crazy but I understand what she is dooing.
