You are definitely not alone. Some shrinks deserve to be called shrinks AND bullies. The reality is that THEY work FOR YOU, not the other way around. This means that you can FIRE THEM at any time you wish, for whatever reason you want. If you want some good BP payback, go to the office and say it to their face, hopefully in front of other people. Ha! In fact, I'm in the process of doing that now, and my current shrink doesn't seem to be happy about me not being able to afford to see him every week. I'm on SSDI and getting Medicare. Trying to find a shrink that takes Medicare is like looking for a needle in a haystack without eyes, and hands. You hope you accidentally step on one or two working phone numbers to take a shot at. If you're not happy with your current shrink, fire them, get another. Also, If I was you, I'd definitely be applying for SSDI through SSA ASAP. No shame in it, you earned the right to it, and to Medicare as well. Good luck with everything!
