Does anyone wake up panicky everyday?
My anxiety is so bad that I am 98% agoraphobic. I know how stupid and impossible that sounds, but so do crazy things that us Bipolars do. So... I found that I am able to wake up with an alarm, during the wee hours, about 5 or 5.30, before the sun is fully risen. I throw on some clothes and I can walk right out the door a couple of blocks to the coffee shop, and sit there and have coffee for about an hour, leaving in sunglasses with a cigarette. Then I become anxious to get inside, but it's easy to control. Then I wait until about 10.30 -11.45, and if I haven't taken 100mg of my generic seroquel by then, I will have an anxiety attack. I feel it coming on, my face burning, the burning behind my eyes, my jaws hurting, shaking, feeling like I want to pull all of my hair out, tear all of my clothes off, chest being crushed, dry mouth, clawing around the room for almost instant relief from 2 clonopins under the tongue, and getting the seroquel into me with whatever liquid is sitting around. I've found that now we're on standard time, the anxiety comes on earlier. I've got reverse SAD. Anyway, at any other time, I can't go outside alone. Only in the dark in the morning. Anxiety only decreases as it gets dark outside.
