It does affect my mood because it nearly never rains here (except during the 'monsoon season' but even then it's a c**p shoot, pardon the blatant vegas reference. When it does rain, people come out of their homes to watch it, to walk in it....sometimes to dance in it---yes I've seen people try to do the 'singing in the rain' dance complete with umbrella. It makes you realize how stark it is in the desert when it finally rains.

Since it rarely does, and since the sound is so soothing, I have a site I go to in the evenings sometimes 'rainymood.com..the cool thing about it, is you hear the sound of a thunderstorm with rain but you can still play music on your computer. I like listening to ed sheeran with the overlay of a rainstorm...it's so very calming. Birdy is also lovely with the rain.
