Pain can be a symptom of depression, so it's possible. Serotonin inhibits pain stimuli from reaching the brain, so lack of serotonin can theoretically cause benign sensations to be interpreted as pain, and serotonin can be lacking in depression. That's why things like fibromyalgia common occur comorbidly with depression. I'm not sure if that's what's happening for you, but it's possible.
