There must be plenty people out there looking for somewhere to stay. Can you put another advert out, a postcard in a shop, I think they have places on Facebook where you can advertise for free also. Maybe this guy backing out is for the best and you'll find someone far better. I have my fingers crossed for you, I'm sure it will all turn out positive in the end. Don't give up!
