There are many reasons why this may be happening. I think the important thing to do would be to speak with your medical doctor about it and rule out anything that could be medically wrong with you.

From there, you can narrow it down to if you are feeling anxious about talking to people, then take your time, breathe and think about what you want to say, and say it slowly.

If you have been under a lot of stress, then by all means, it can effect your speech in different ways. Again, do the same thing I explained for feeling anxious.

Have you started a new psych med recently? Talk to your pdoc or whichever doc prescribed the med to see if that may have an effect on your speech as well.

It's all about ruling things out sometimes to get down to the real culprit.
