OMG-you guys are waaaay too cool! Sometimes my sense of humor is the only option I have. I once got out of a 72 hour hold in 2 hours because I asked the guy guarding me if he had a gun. When he said no, I said "S**t! There goes suicide by cop!" By the time he quit laughing they were signing me out and telling me to go home.

But today was a super day. I have found another roommate. I made up a contract and he took a copy to the local 'help ya with yer rent' people and brought me a check for 4 hundred bucks. I had only asked him for 250, half of the deposit, but he gave me the whole thing. My van has just been sitting in the driveway since my husband died so now he has a vehicle and I have someone to take me shopping, etc. How cool is that?

So now I can pay the bills and be caught up for the first. Even had plenty for food and smokes. Ya-hoo! I knew he was the one when we spent about an hour talking and he said everything I had specified on the contract before he read it. And no, I didn't expect it to be a man and I didn't expect him to be black. But I think we will get along famously and I'm very pleased with the universe tonight.
