My therapist is humanistic, client centered, attachment therapy based, and we meet 1-2 times per week. Just wondering how long the average person does therapy, and are there any benchmarks I should have reached by the 2 month mark? I'm still building trust with him, but am not at 100%

Set up goals for yourself and hold your therapist accountable. The form of therapy I favor is CBT because it is goal oriented. I tell my therapist the issue he gives me a time line, he holds me accountable to it, I hold him accountable to it.
