I detest and loathe how a T will say, "Yes your new car burnt up, but you have the CD from the player, which was saved...minus some smoke damage...focus on that positive." Yeah..........right!!!!!!!!!!
This is just an example, as I have NO self esteem, depression, and anxiety and they ask me to appreciate birds singing, and the Spring weather????? MY mind is so clouded, I do not even at all appreciate living.

You have to communicate that to your therapist. I have no self esteem, depression and anxiety. When I first started therapy I would blank out and ramble on about my week. Then later on I would reflect that, that is not at all what I needed to work on. So, I got into the habit of writing it down before therapy to keep myself on track.
