Okay, so as university student I am quite broke.

Thousands of dollars for residence, and for tuition and books and whatnot...

And I don't have a job. I'm stuck in a nasty cycle where I receive money for my (physical) disability, and if I actually GET a job in the first place then this "free" money is cut off. Kapput. So unless I find a part-time job that pays more than what I'm currently getting, there really isn't much of a point.

But it still isn't enough to live on.

I get some (minor) financial support from my parents, but don't qualify for a government "loan" because I'm still technically living at home (because residence is not considered a permanent addresss, boo.)

So this makes me a teensy bit testy, I hate the system.

But this is a bit of hope for people in post-secondary school, if you apply for scholarships, lots and lots of scholarships, then maybe you'll get one!

I know in Canada, they say that there are billions of dollars in scholarships that go unawarded each year because nobody applies for them.

Scary... but I'll admit, the amount of effort to do some of the scholarship requirements is a tad ridiculous.

But to go to my happy point - I'm getting money from a scholarship I applied for!!! YAY!!!

This is my first scholarship, EVER. So this makes me happy. And all it took was one page, outlining my volunteer experience.

So yeah,
