I've been taking Zoloft (Sertraline) 50mg for 2 days now. Yesterday, I felt quite sick, and I couldn't focus or concentrate on anything. Right now, that's not good for me - I have my exams in 3 weeks.
This morning, I took my tablet at 8:30 and jumped in the shower to wash my hair. After 5 minutes, I felt really dizzy, and felt like I was going to pass out. I tried sitting down in the shower, but it didn't help. So, with shampoo still in my hair, I had to get out of the shower and lie down on the floor. After 5 minutes of that, I got up to finish washing my hair. Again, another 2 minutes in the shower and I felt faint again, so I got out and lay down on the floor.
This happened, in total, 3 times. I had to not put conditioner on my hair, because I felt so dizzy and sick and faint. I'm not sure if feeling faint/passing out is a (common) side-effect. If it isn't, is it anything to worry about? Should I stop taking them? Should I call my doctor on Monday and tell him? And is there any point me staying on them in the future?
Thank you.
Edit: I was also shaking (not shivering, it wasn't cold). When I stood back up, my whole body was literally shaking, and I felt like my legs were going to collapse beneath me
