I'm sorry it was such a horrid experience. I'm glad you have your therapist's support. Can I ask why you are sticking with Kaiser? Would an ed program be more beneficial? They are not always the best places either, but I've found specialty treatment centers have more training and work more efficiently. I used Renfrew about 20 years ago and they were miles above non specialized treatment. More recently I went to a treatment center specializing in ptsd, and now see a specialty therapist for stuff related to that. It's not that my other therapists were bad, but this one has different training/more training in her specialty. She recognizes things that others didn't necessarily recognize, and heads a lot of stuff off. It was a similar experience in the specialty centers.
