I've gathered from research and from doctors telling me that it's not a good idea to give young women Depakote because of the risk of polycystic ovarian syndrome which will happen to 1 in 10 young women on Depakote. Yet I am on 750mg of Depakote. I have heard polycystic ovarian syndrome may or may not be reversible according to hormones because Depakote cuts the connection between progesterone release to the ovaries, making your ovaries store up eggs without releasing them until the ovaries eventually burst. Has this syndrome happened to anyone on here? I stew over it and worry about it every night, in constant terror thinking I could be the one in ten who could get these egg filled sacs that could burst my ovaries and make it so I could never have kids. Making me infertile at 27 when I've never really had the chance to have a family or a life really.
