Ive taken a lot of different drug combos over the years, most of which werent right, obviously... but the only drug that ever caused side effects which actually scared me was Prozac. It induced massive episodes of mania, which were far more severe than i usually have, then i would crash hard because the rest of my drug cocktail would try to level me out. I find that its not a good team player. Im not sure where you are but in Australia its not prescribed very often as this seems to be a common complaint.
