Like the other poster stated these things do happen. People change their mind about how they feel, etc. She should have come to you first and told you her feelings were not what you wanted. But even though things did not work out for you with this woman it sounds like you have a beautiful daughter. I would not wait until your daughter is older to spend time with her. I would spend as much time around her as possible so she knows and loves you. Good Luck
